One thing I’ve often considered is how to collect citations in Avogadro. For example, let’s say you optimize with the xtb plugin with GFN2, followed by an ORCA calculation, etc.
Ideally, there would be a nice window that would collect the citations for you, or at least the DOI to import into your favorite reference manager.
I found duecredit which solves this on the Python side, and might be a good thing to integrate into plugins.
Suggestions for places to start collecting citations / credit? This is likely a medium- or longer-term project (e.g. won’t get solved before 2.0 is released).
