Sane list of 3D file formats for the viewer?

Benoit fixed Kalzium fileopen dialog so that per default these file
formats are displayed. I cannot really comment if or if not this list
makes sense. .cml and .xyz and .mol are the ones I know/use. I have no
idea about the others.

I’d provide a list of common extensions and then something like
“autodetect,” since other formats are possible.

I think your previous list is pretty comprehensive.
