I’m curious to get some feedback on releasing 2.0 (e.g., timing). There are a bunch of bug fixes testing and polish needed for 2.0. But as far as I’m concerned probably not much as far as a “feature.” Perhaps @matterhorn103 and I manage to figure out a new plugin mechanism. (I might also fool around with a molecular dynamics part to the AutoOpt tool, but

If I stick to the previous release schedule, the next release would be 06 Feb (i.e., 06-02 in dd-mm format). That’s roughly eight weeks from now.
I can imagine releasing earlier (e.g., end-of-year or first week in January) and focusing on bug fixes over the next few weeks. On the other hand, there’s plenty to do as far as polishing the website docs, new videos, etc.
- Keep the current schedule and release 2.0 on 06 Feb 2026
- Release 2.0 a bit earlier “when it’s ready”
