Considering v2.0 only came out in April and that May was a busy month for other reasons, I’m highly inclined to skip the June 02 release date and postpone v2.1 until October 23rd.
The plus side is that we’d be able to address more structural things and have time for a normal “release window” (e.g., freezing features on October 1st, etc.)
The downside would be:
- a big release in the middle of the fall semester
- potentially no releases before classes start
Or.. I could release 2.1 as-is on June 2nd (faster optimizer, orbital rendering, etc.) and it’s not perfect, but does address some things since 2.0.
