Open babel causes crashes

During the last several days I experienced crashes of version 1.100 due to open babel functions. I have tried on my mac (Apple M3) and on a supercomputer server via ThinLinc, and the crashes happened on both systems. Here is the message about the error I copied:
`Error, Open Babel plugins directory not found.

[xcb] Unknown request in queue while appending request

[xcb] You called XInitThreads, this is not your fault

[xcb] Aborting, sorry about that.

avogadro2: xcb_io.c:161: append_pending_request: Assertion

!xcb_xlib_unknown_req_pending’ failed.`

Can you be a bit more specific about which Open Babel methods you were using?

In most of the case, “Perceive bonds” caused the crash. Sometime was the “Optimize geometry”.
