Mingw bug

Hi Saro,

Thanks a lot for fixing this issue – and more generally for doing the useful
work of fixing compilation with mingw.

I am CC’ing the avogadro list so that your remark about A_EXPORT vs.
AVOGADRO_EXPORT reaches the concerned developers  It will also reach most
of the Kalzium developers there, as Pino is already aware of this issue.

Cheer,
Benoit

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this problem; Carsten is currently without internet
conection and I am 150% busy with my day job so we can’t do much about it
right now, not mentioning the fact that none of us has a mingw setup to
test with, so a patch from you is most welcome

Otherwise, you can be assured that this bug will be automatically solved
in 4.1, as we will rely directly on libavogadro as a dependency (instead
of having our own snapshot) and libavogadro probably is/will be
well-tested on many platforms including mingw.

Cheers,

Benoit

Hi, again.
chehrlic mostly fixed the error for me
and we commited the changes to the kde svn.

There is another issue according to pino toscano: it should be
AVOGADRO_EXPORT instead of the used macro A_EXPORT . Since I am not sure
how much should be changed for kde 4.0.

I am currently working on trying out all of kde edu apps (on windows)
with as many dependencies as possible - and since kalzium uses quite a
lot, some more errors might follow. My current project is libfacile,
which doesn’t wants to be compiled under mingw. But perhaps I can find
some workarounds for that issue…

greetings SE

Is that what was causing the issue? Was something else using A_EXPORT?
I’m totally cool with changing it I’m just curious what it was
conflicting with.
