KDE 4.2 plans

Hi,

The KDE 4.2 soft feature freeze has been pushed back to Sep 29th,
http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.2_Release_Schedule

Which means that before that date we must have edited the feature plan,
http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.2_Feature_Plan

The hard feature freeze will be Oct 27th.

Is it still the plan reach API+ABI stability in libavogadro by the end of this
year, and to make KDE 4.2 depend on it, removing its local copy? Anybody up
for this todo item? Of course Marcus already did the bulk of the work in KDE
4.1.

Cheers,
Benoit

Hi,

the release-team just reverted to the original schedule, which gives us a bit
more time:

Benoit

I will do what I can to update Kalzium. Certainly update the snapshot and do
any porting necessary. Some changes are necessary before the API can freeze
and I am trying to make the time to get them in. I will see what I can do.

Are you going to work on the port to QGV? If not I will move that item to 4.3
in the plan.

I would like to get that in if I can find the time, so can we leave it on
there for now?

We can keep everything in, even not-yet-started, until the hard
feature freeze.

Benoit
