How to generate electrostatic potential with avogadro 2?

Hello, I am new to Avogadro. I would like to draw the electrostatic potential of a molecule (namely MALTOSE).

I used ANALYSIS>CREATE SURFACES, selected SURFACE: VAN DER WAALS; COLOR BY: ELECTROSTATIC POTENTIAL (EEM); COLOR MAP:BLUE-DARK.RED
then I pressed CALCULATE and nothing happened.

What is the correct procedure?

On the left hand side panel «display types», did you activate «meshes»? Actually, both depending on the colour of the background and the colour scheme for the surface selected, the slider «opacity» equally may render the surface fully transparent (i.e., invisible), too.
