It looks like the file extensions this discussion forum supports to illustrate problems/findings, etc do not (yet) include *.txt. As a consequence of this, a log from the terminal has to be added as fenced code.
I would welcome if brief texts could be appended (similar to the pattern met e.g., in issue reports on GitHub) because they carry the information as optional part of reading the thread, like the SI of a journal paper.
