Default Directory

Hi,

How can I change the default directory of Avogadro? I have been trying to
look in the settings functionality, but could’t find any option regarding
the same.

First off, you’d need to tell us what OS you’re using, as the result depends on how you launch Avogadro.

Avogadro (and Qt) remember the last used directory for open and save dialogs.

Otherwise, it’s a system-dependent default. On Linux, it’s whatever was the current working directory. On Mac, it’s either the Applications directory or your home folder. I believe it’s similar on Windows.

I use Windows 8.1. The local user folder is being opened by default on
clicking the ‘Open’ button.
