How to draw boat conformation of cyclohexane in avogadro ? whenever I draw cyclohexane, after geometry optimization it is giving chair conformation or twist boat conformation.
Since the boat conformation is unstable, you can’t optimize to get a boat. It’s exactly as you said, you’ll get a twist-boat (a local minima) or a chair.
I thought there was a boat in the Insert => Fragment collection, but I don’t see it.
