Correct behavior for drawing extra H's

What should be the proper behavior for Avogadro when user tries to draw
additional hydrogen e.g. on CH4 when “Adjust hydrogens” is enabled?
Should it be drawn or not?

Current behavior is crash

Not drawn is the more intuitive behavior to me.

Not drawn is the more intuitive behavior to me.

Or draw the atom, but ignore the bond, maybe?
