Build grafted-CNT

Hello, everyone
I’m new to Avogadro and I’m trying to build grafted-CNT, is there any way to build grafted-CNT in avogadro? If there is, how can we build the grafted-CNT by avogadro? I read the instruction and can’t find any related information about it.
Any help would be appreciated!

I think you’ll need to be a bit more specific about what you want. It’s easy to build single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) in Avogadro. What do you want to graft them to?

Sorry for the ambiguous description. Acutally I want to build a single wall carbon nanotue grafted with small funcutional group such as alkane and alkene. I’m nor sure if I can build these structures by Avogadro.

Sure, no problem.

You can create SWNT:

Then once you have the nanotube you want, you can change to the Draw tool and click and drag off of any carbon you wish to graft from.
