Avogadro release

Hi,

The Main wiki page isn’t updated for the 0.9.0 release yet. Should I
update it or will this be done when we have the mac binary?

Also: I spoke with Benoit on IRC and WithAlignedOperatorNew will be
removed in rc1. This means Avogadro 0.9.0 only builds with beta3 -
beta6. I updated the wiki/Compiling page to make sure it is clear to
use Eigen2 beta6.

Thanks,
Tim

We also need to add a news item on the SourceForge page. Feel free to
update it, I’ll have the Mac binary shortly. This week has been very
busy, and I had to be careful with a build for any PowerPC or 10.4
users.

Well, we should be sure to indicate that 0.9.0 is a developer’s
release somewhere. While we should do our best to make sure it’s
stable and fix bugs (e.g., my last e-mail), I think we should be
pushing to finish remaining pieces for 1.0 this spring too.

Hi,

I was just updating the wiki when i read this … i added a comment
about the mac build, which is currently missing.

I’m in the process of finishing it up – this week has been very busy
with some “house issues.” (Did you know hot water pipes freeze before
cold ones?)

Cheers,

I just managed to crash Avo 090 on Vista by creating a VdW-mesh of H2C=CH2. Is
there any way to create a backtrace in windows? This “bugreport” is not
really usefull I guess, but I don’t know how to use gdb or something like
that on Windows.

Is this reproducible?

I haven’t tried this, bug a Google search turned up suggestions from
Apache:

It seems that the Dr. Watson debugging tool did not stay in Vista:

Are there any Windows-savvy developers on the list? I’m clueless.
