I believe this to be a bug with Avogadro:
On the Public Beta of MacOS 26, Avagadro 1.100’s “Save” dialog boxes are not responsive to mouse clicks.
Environment Information
Avogadro version: 1.100.0 (also tried the nightly builds)
Operating system and version:
macOS 26 Public beta.
Expected Behavior
Clicking any of the Save buttons in the “save the changes” dialog should work
Actual Behavior
The “save the changes” dialog box will come up, but the buttons will be non-responsive when clicked.
Steps to Reproduce
Install 1.100.0 on macOS 26 beta. Launch the program and click in the window a few times. Then go to quit the program. The “Save/Don’t Save/Cancel” buttons are non-responsive when clicked on
I appreciate the report, but I’m not likely to install the beta on my MacBook until closer to the release (e.g. late August) because the UI has been changing a lot. I’m also honestly not sure if this is an Avogadro bug, because I’ve seen a bunch of UI weirdness in Mac developer forums.
We have been building with a newer version of the Qt toolkit, but getting the installers ready for Mac and Windows will take a bit of work. (Help with Cmake welcome!)
