Hello,
I use Avogadro regularly on Ubuntu 10.04. I have used the version of Avogadro that is available in the Ubuntu repositories. Currently I am using the latest version of Avogadro which I built from source myself. Avogadro works well for me on Ubuntu and I don’t have any problems with it crashing.
I don’t know if this help you - maybe it you told us more about what your problem is someone could help you to fix it.

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
