The avogadroapp/avogadro/icons/
directory contains various-sized png-format icons for Avogadro 2, as well as the .ico
format for Mac, but I can’t find an SVG anywhere – but presumably there was one originally. Could it possibly be added to the repo in the same directory?
As well as just making it generally available for use, I’d like that because it would allow us to make it available in Linux as a “scalable icon”.
Huh. For now, here’s the SVG. The .ico
is for Windows.

Should we have document icons for Linux / FreeBSD desktop environments.
I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to that, but if I find anything out I’ll get back to you.

It would be good to at least claim .cjson
and/or .cml
. I have a set on Mac and there’s a tool that makes it pretty easy to place and scale, e.g.
(I realize themes are a bit different on Linux.)
After a brief look this would be done by also exporting icons for the MIME types. Are we registering the MIME types on Linux?
