Atom label tool is not recognising my keyboard input

I believe this to be a bug with atom label tool, I tried to label some atoms but I got instead Chinese characters, my keyboard is working fine with other apps on my pc, and on my system in general. I tried to change the language of Avogadro but I got the same result and I believe it is something wrong with Avogadro. I downloaded the .dmg file from two.avogadro.cc. The system language is English as the one for Avogadro app. I don’t know how to solve this.

Environment Information

Avogadro version: 1.98.1
Operating system and version: macOS Sonoma 14.3

Expected Behavior:

I wanted to label the atom selected with some names

Actual Behavior:

the characters are all in Chinese language.

Thanks - I saw your post on StackExchange. Definitely a bug. I’ll take a look later today.
