1.100.0 quit unexpectedly

I tried version 1.100.0 on my mac sequoia 15.1.1 (Apple M3). When running geometry optimization (not open babel), a click on the screen will lead to the crash of Avogadro2 (it happened every time I did it). It would be nice to have the same function as in 1.2.0, where one can tune the structure at real-time while running geometry optimization.

Yes, the AutoOptimize tool is on the roadmap for this spring.

Could you post an example file? I can’t reproduce this on my Mac - and obviously I want to fix all crashes.

Here is a example. When optimization is running, it is impossible to click anywhere outside the small window in the middle. A simple click leads to a crash.

Here is a update of the crash.
Avogadro2 works fine if an external display is connected to the laptop (MacBook Pro, Apple M3). If no external display is connected, it crashes at I post previously.

Yeah, regardless of the monitor, it’s definitely a bug I’m working to track down. Seems somewhat intermittent on my MacBook, but I hope I’ll have a fix in another day or two.
