Flatpaks have to use specific versions of things with known hashes so I’ll use the 0.56.0 release for now. I’ve also just configured it to download the binary rather than build it for now.
The Flatpak has internet access and things running in the sandbox think that they’re a normal Linux system, so for the Flatpak at least it should work fine… We might have to do some pixi configuration e.g. if it doesn’t pick a sensible place to cache packages, or if it’s an issue to have the binary in the same place as the Avogadro binary (/app/bin) rather than ~/.pixi/bin.
There’s a test version building right now, so will be interesting to see whether it works.
Just to add, it’s not in the OpenSUSE Tumbleweed repos either, and Tumbleweed’s pretty cutting edge (though not so much of a free-for-all as the Arch repos seem to be).
