Screenshot for front page

We definitely need to put one bright screenshot on the front page of website,
to give a visual hint for new visitors what it’s all about and demonstrate rendering
quality.

Any ideas what screenshot to take?

P.S. It’s better to select screenshot of “new” (0.9.x and later) UI layout, or make a
fresh one. Another option is to display random image from small set of chosen
screenshots

I think this is the best idea. We can rotate between a few screenshots of Mac, Windows, Linux, doing “interesting things.”

Good idea!

Or take user agent and show screenshots from relevant OS…

Point taken. Even so, we’ll want a few different screenshots: drawing, orbitals, surfaces, peptide, etc.

I think it’s important not to go too far with number of images.
It’s better to choose small number of most striking ones.
