Summary: Resizing window causes major lag.

Initial Comment:
I am not sure what is causing this (and I believe that threading may fix it) but doing a resize of the window causes it to lag heavily. What I am referring to is if I enable my window manager to draw window contents during a resize operation it comes to a halt. I am curious if this is because of the OpenGL rendering and that at each resize the signal is being called to render the scene again and thus this takes a ton of processing time.

What I am going to try is if using the threaded GL widget helps this at all.

Using:

Gentoo 2007.0
Compiz - SVN
KDE
