It took some work, but earlier this week, I finished off options to
allow Color plugins to have their own settings. The first example of
this is “Color by Residue.”
Right now, I have two general color schemes from Jmol (amino and
shapely), plus coloring by hydrophobicity.
I’m going to work out a scale for pKa, much like hydrophobicity.
Any other options or properties for coloring residues?
Other new color schemes coming soon:
- Color atom by partial charge
- Color atom by distance from atom 0 (i.e., similar to the color by
index rainbow)
Other suggestions are most welcome!

by Secundary Structure and Backbone/Sidechain in two different colors
would be nice…
