# Possible QT Issue with Create Surfaces

It’s caused by “a student was going to add surfaces and didn’t generate good code.” So the UI was merged, but not the surface generation code.

This summer’s [GSoC student, Aritz](https://discuss.avogadro.cc/t/introducing-myself-project-enhancing-avogadro-for-biomolecular-modeling/3811) will be adding surfaces. Help and feedback certainly welcome.

I would guess we have some initial code fairly soon.
