# October 2026 Development Updates

This month will be focused on bug fixes, documentation updates, etc. for the v2.1 release on 23 October (10/23 here in the US - part of National Chemistry Week). [September](https://discuss.avogadro.cc/t/september-2026-updates/7517) was a busy month with new features, lots of bug fixes, and build improvements. (Thanks to Claude Code, the GitHub builds now take ~10 minutes each.)

If you have a chance, please [test a continual build](https://avogadro.cc/install/) and report any issues or feedback. It’s a huge help getting the best release out.
