Merging the text shadowing code into Qt's renderText?

Hi,

Ross and Geoff have experimented visual bugs with the new text renderer so it
seems that we would need to do some runtime test and if necessary fall back
to Qt’s renderText, which is sad because it doesn’t do text shadowing.

But I just had a totally crazy idea…

I could try to submit a patch to TT so that their renderText does shadowing!!

Now i’m excited. Even if there’s a big risk they’d turn it down.

Cheers,
Benoit

I think that’s a good idea. We’re not the only people who want to use
text in this way. Adding outline/shadow support definitely makes it
more readable.

Who knows!
