Hi Eric,

We started with the swireengine plugin
to check that the new plugin appears in the
plugin managment menu. That works fine now.

Great!

Let us tell you more about our
project. We would like to developp
a plugin to use the Wiimote facilities
on both Linux and Windows environment.

Do you agree with our choice, or do we need
to develop using c++ ?

Well, you may want to develop using C++. There is some old Wiimote code using C++ that was developed and contributed, but needs updating before it can be used with the current Avogadro version. You can find the files here:

http://github.com/cryos/avogadro/tree/wiimote/libavogadro/src/tools/

However, no python script is used in our avogadro version,
and we don’t know where to include a simple example to start with.

You said you obtained Avogadro 0.97 from Ubuntu. I don’t think that version has Python support built in. The Windows version does, and you can compile your own version of Avogadro for Linux (or Windows) with Python support.

Hope that helps,
-Geoff

your help. Particularly, we wlll have a look
at the already developed
Wiimote code.

Have a nice week-end.
