I start to rotate the molecule. It takes ~3 seconds until the rotation is rendered.

In these seconds the molecuile is in fact rendered: When I simply move the mouse quickly and release the left mousebutton, after about 3 seconds with no visual feedback whatsoever the molecule is -pop- rotated.

With “porphyrin.cml” I also feel the lag but it is perhaps .8 seconds. The number of atoms is approx 1/10 of the nanotube so I guess this is related to some caching going on in the background…
