Fwd: Boost.Python and Cmake on Mac

I think we should go back to the original test for Boost.Python that
Donald installed. This Cmake module seems to be a big headache, and
Donald’s version at least seemed to work on both Mac and Linux.

I’m currently working with a KDE-Edu project (Kalzium) and a related
project (Avogadro) on embedded Python scripting. We’re using
Boost.Python, so we also use the KDE-Edu FindBoostPython.cmake
module:

http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdeedu/cmake/modules/

I have worked on this for windows platform - this is a very poor test
and without a major rework( of this file) I see no way to fix the
platform/version dependence.
If you think this is a thing we should do we can maybe try and find
a way.

Patrick

The original version had the issue on my 64 bit Linux system at least of
attempting to link to the static lib rather than the shared library which
produced a linker error here.

I can try to improve this version or see if I can spot how to fix the original
version but it does have issues of its own. Not sure what is best here - can
try looking through the original version and see if I am able to improve it.
It seems like KDE-Edu need to fix this cmake module too…
