It should depend on the background color. Do I have that correct @perminder-17 ? Wouldn’t be too hard to add a color setting though.

No worries man! I am trying to update my paper’s figures as per a reviewer request. Avogadro has a lot more power than the free CCDC Mercury, but this one thing is limiting me from using it. I am on macOS, version 1.100.0.

Oh shoot! It’s a bug! Looks like if you set background color first, and then set up the fog, the fog will be black. However, if you then set the background color to white again, then it will change the fog! Thank you!

Okay, that helps. Seems as if the background color isn’t sent to the fog shader from the beginning (but is after setting it in the dialog).
