i think there is a bug but i dont know where i should report it. this is
what i do and what happen for me
crystallography>Add unit cell
settings>tools bar>crystal view option> change any thing>CRASH AND CLOSE
AVOGADRO!!!
my avogadro is :1.1.1
ubuntu 14.04
qt=4.8.6

I tried this here, and cannot reproduce the bug. The view options work
as expected.
Are you using the Ubuntu-packaged version of Avogadro? It sounds like
there may be something broken in their package. You may need to report
it to the Ubuntu package maintainer so they can check things out on
their end.
