I mentioned in the [long term vision](https://discuss.avogadro.cc/t/long-term-vision/7557/9) that I’d like to get more **backends** to allow users to do “one click submit.”

The trick, of course, is that running different programs on different clusters usually takes some scripting, e.g.

```bash
# copy files around
module load orca/6.1.1
orca caffeine.inp > caffeine.out
# copy files back
```

Now some _local_ calculations are a bit easier - check for the program name in the PATH / user environment and just run it.

How much should stay in Avogadro? How much should be in a separate program? How much depends on the server?
