# Avogadro in Summer of Code 2022

We are excited to be part of Google Summer of Code 2022 with the broader Open Chemistry organization.

This year, you do not need to be a student to participate - only new to open source. We hope we will get some great applications - you will be paid by Google and work with the Avogadro dev team.

In particular, if you begin a proposal early (i.e., not a week before the deadline) and share it, we can often provide suggestions and guidance.
