Avogadro 0.9.9 tagged

Hi,

This is just to confirm that I have tagged the Avogadro 0.9.9 release,
and uploaded source files to SourceForge. I have also prepared some
Gentoo packages which should appear soon. I hope that we can stick with
our plan, and get a 1.0.0 release out for 10/23 - this Friday. This does
not leave a lot of time, but I think it is worth pushing for this date.

There are certainly some remaining bugs. I will do what I can to track
issues down. I still need to unpack and reassemble my Windows box, so
until then I cannot do any Windows based development/bug fixing. I also
no longer have direct access to all the Macs I once had. So I will be
concentrating on Linux issues, API and documentation.

Please point out any blockers. It is not the end of the world to have a
few bugs remaining when we release. I will create a 1.0 branch on
Friday, and tag. We can still make patch releases for 1.0 after the
release, I am certain there will be some things we want to fix up. The
timing for tagging is good though, and I would like to open up trunk for
work on new features soon as it has been semi-frozen for quite some time
now.

Please let me know your thoughts. I am very much settling into a new
position, but I will give what time I can to Avogadro. The whole new
father thing has been eating into development time too, so any help with
getting 1.0 out of the door would be appreciated. Beers (or other
beverages of choice) will be bought for people who send in patches to
fix bugs/issues

Thanks,

Marcus
